Worms aren’t hard to please

Types of Bins.png

“Worm bin” is loosely defined as a container in which worms live. Composting worms can live just about anywhere as long as they have moist bedding and food scraps. And by food scraps, I mean that when you add an avocado and pieces of it are still there in 8 weeks, it’s still active food for a worm. They do need to have some holes for ventilation.

So here are some pictures of bins that I have or have used. If you decide to buy one I’ve included links on where you can buy them (and I get credit if you use it.. :) )

It’s worth noting that there are some of these “worm towers” - if you have one that you love then yay for you! I personally haven’t had much success and it seems like a lot of work. My preference is the lazy-lady’s route… ie: just throw in scraps, throw some shredded paper or cardboard on top of it and call it good. Then I repeat about a week later.
