Don’t overthink it.

Starting Your BIn.png

Starting a worm bin is deceptively simple. As someone that takes pet ownership seriously, I’ve heard from friends that they’re worried about the commitment involved with worms or are worried they’ll screw it up. My goal with this site is to help you not screw it up (which, honestly, is REALLY HARD to do!)

For reference, I

I’ve put additional information based on my experience on this site, so dig in as necessary but this really all you need to do:

1) Select a bin

2) Add bedding and a little food. Make sure it’s damp. DO NOT ADD DIRT.

3) Add worms. Yep, just dump/shake them in and then leave them alone to explore and wiggle about.

4) Start feeding them your leftover/spoiled food scraps! Generally you’ll want to feed (food and bedding) them about once a week.

5) Be patient! This is the hardest part. They need time for the food to decompose and get eaten so they can make awesome dirt (vermicompost!) for you. Just let them do their thing. And yes, it’s just fine to stir them up sometimes and see what they’re up to!

This is the text block. I’m going to add text for download the premium here. Then I will highlight the part that I want to be clickable and link the premium file to it. I found some random premium file somewhere for an example. :)
